- Installation 1. With the bundled USB cable, connect the CARS Email Alert to the USB port of the computer.
- 2. The installation program will be run automatically. Note: If the installation does not run, double click "My computer" icon on the desktop.
- Double click the " CARS Email Alert" icon. Double click the AutoRun.exe program to start the installation process.
- 3. After installation, you may require to restart the computer.
- 4. When Windows is ready again, reconnect the CARS Email Alert to the computer; the email alert device would activate. You can see the Configuration screen.
- Configuration Page Setup 1. After you connect the CARS Email Alert to your computer directly, the configuration page of the program is poped up automatically.
- 2. If you cannot find the configuration menu, it is minimized in the notification area and can be recalled by clicking the icon of the program.
- To Enable Email Alert Mode1. In the Email section of the configuration menu, click "Create"
- 2. Select any existing email profile in the profile list.
- 3. Enable "Email Alert Mode" box
- 4. Click the "Start" button.
- 5. When new email comes, notification window will pop up, as well as sound alert from the device.
- If your email account does not appear in the profile list, you can follow Create Mail box connection to create a new one.
- To Enable Keyword Alert
- 1. Just enable "Keyboard Alert Mode" box and try to press any key on your keyboard.
- Create Mail box connection1.To create a new email box connection, you have to make a new mail profile. Click "Create" button in the configuration Page.
- 2. The CARS usb alert supports two account types. If you connect your mail box through POP3 protocol, check the "POP3" box. Or should you wish to link the mail account configured in Microsoft Outlook Express, check the "Outlook Express" box.
- Create POP3 profile1. Type in the email address, server information (incoming mail server, port, SSL), you own username and password.
Here are the sample settings of free POP service providers. It is assumed that the username of the email account is usbcar@domain.com. Don't forget to use your own email address, username and your private password during in your setup.
2. You can also decide the mail checking interval from 1 minute to 10 minutes.
3. Click "Next" button to save the setting. The program will bring you to Connection Test.
- Create Outlook Express Profile1.Select the email address in the drop down menu.
- 2. Click "Next" button to save the setting. The program will bring you to Connection Test.
- Connection TestThe program will check if the email account can be connected. If it is success, click "Confirm" button to finish setup. Don't forget to check "Email Alert mode" box and to select the your mail profile in the main page.

- Internet Connection - You can click "Back" button to type in correct setting again.
